What Lies Under
Many ideas rushed through my head as I sat on my chair, wondering what should be discussed in my next update. I asked myself, what could be a good topic? Slowly, I started wandering away from reality. We are all living in a country "united" by religion and tradition, all the way to the simplest thing, dress code. But there is a sad truth behind this word. Stereotypes exist amongst us in a highly extreme manner. How money sets up the standards of a person and not his thoughts. The basis on which we measure an individual's worth affects everything around us, from the friends we make, to the work environment, and even into families!
One's standards must be measured by the achievements he/she has accomplished, not by the money they possess or the friends they have. Our actions mark where we stand, and make us what we are. Our wealth, not in money, but in knowledge, is the tool to pave our way into this life. We must always remember: We're not what our family or name makes us. We are what we make of ourselves.
